JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Warehouse Officer will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within the organization’s warehouse facilities. This includes maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring proper storage practices, coordinating with inventory and sales teams, and upholding health and safety standards. The Warehouse Officer will play a critical role in ensuring goods flow smoothly from suppliers to customers. This is a full-time role with regular performance assessments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stock Receipt & Dispatch:

  • Receive, inspect, and document all incoming goods from suppliers.
  • Prepare, package, and dispatch outgoing goods accurately and on time.
  • Ensure proper signing and filing of delivery notes and waybills.

Warehouse Organization:

  • Arrange stock systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Ensure products are stored according to their category and handling requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the warehouse environment.

Coordination & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Inventory Officers to reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Liaise with Cashiers and Sales Reps to meet supply requests promptly.
  • Support periodic stock audits and surprise stock counts.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of all stock movements.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports on warehouse activities for management.
  • Record and report any damages, shortages, or stock irregularities immediately.

Health, Safety & Security:

  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and proper use of equipment.
  • Monitor and report any security risks or breaches in warehouse operations.
  • Implement preventive measures to reduce loss, theft, or damage of goods.
